Laura lives in Alberta, Canada with her family, although she might argue that she actually splits her time between Alberta and the world of Eliva. When she was 11 years old she went in search of her perfect fantasy book but - not finding it - she wrote it for herself. Obviously it's gone through some changes since then, much as she has.

When not working, spending time with her family, reading, or hiking in the Rocky Mountains, she is working on the next book. It's coming, she promises!
